I enjoy boring weekends. I enjoy the kind where there is nothing to do, and I can just sit there and read for hours and not feel guilty.
This weekend was not like that, but I loved it.
Jason is leaving for the Dominican Republic for his LDS mission on Wednesday, so Seth and I went up to see him. He had to give a talk in church on Sunday, and the topic was on preparing to go on a mission. He made a good point when he said, “How should I know? I haven’t been on one, yet.” True dat.
On Saturday night, most of the cousins went to The Haunted Mill. If you are in the Rexburg area, it is definitely worth standing in line for. (Although, you should go on Monday, because it’s only 5 bucks on Mondays.) The Mill was scary enough to make me scream like a little girl. There was one point where a lady (who looked like a dummy) was sitting on a chair with a chain saw in her hands. It turns out she was NOT a dummy; she turned the chain saw on and jumped out at me. I don’t think I’ve ever ran away from anything so fast. I felt bad for David and Jacob, though. Whenever one of them was walking in front of me, I held onto them for dear life.
The line was scary, too. There was a warning that said, “The Haunted Mill uses a fog machine,” but someone had added a line, so it said, “fag machine.” Seth pointed it out, and this rather pinguid girl in front of him started telling him that he was being offensive and was being rather rude to him. I would have beat her up, but…fat people scare me.
David, Teagan, and I will be starting a haunted house one day. It’s pretty darn lucrative, and we have had plenty of practice. I am being really serious, too.
May I just add that everything is better with Seth? I just realized it is our one month anniversary. Getting married to my best friend was the best decision I have ever made. I would suggest it to anyone.
Sign me up for your haunted house service. I'm a pro scarer. And am officially stalking your blog too...hope you don't mind.
