In-laws and Afros

Since I was little, I assumed in-laws were evil people that were meant to irk and make you feel as horrible as possible about yourself. I blame movies, mostly, for this point of view. Because Seth’s mom will be visiting this evening, I was thinking about my in-laws and how lucky I am. Seth’s parents are genuinely kind people. They have done everything to make me feel welcome and comfortable with them. Even though they probably find me exceptionally strange and socially awkward (because I AM), they treat me as though they are happy to have me join their family.

I know a few people who are not in the same situation as I am; so yay for me.
On a completely different topic, last night I went to Tessa’s Mary Kay party. I actually enjoyed it…but that was probably because I was hanging out with Tessa, not because I was rubbing random gunk into my face.

Also, the girl who might be buying our apartment has HUGE hair. It’s a blond afro. Watch out, African American men. You have competition.
