Oh, Mondays!

I think random things that happen in my life are interesting, even if no one else does. For instance, I live in the "bad part of town," which in Provo means it's not all that bad. I live on the same block/street as the only liquor store in town, so we get random drunks, but that is normally it. UNTIL...

Last night I was startled awake by two cops yelling, "GET DOWN! GET DOWN!" Then the bad guy, or whatever you want to call him, was obviously resisting, because the cops kept yelling at him to get on the pavement and put his hands behind his head, etc. It was probably the most excitement my street has ever seen.

Also, for those of you who don't know, the lady who shares our duplex is mean and messy, among other things. We share a nasty basement with her, and our apartment management forced her to clean it out because it was full of old, rotting clothes mixed with dead lizards and cat pee. The washing machine and dryer are down there. For the first time, Seth and I decided to wash our clothes in the dreaded basement. We found this note left by our darling neighbor on one of the two washers:

Ok. So...we've never used her washer.

We went to "our" washer, only to find out it doesn't work. My apartment management is evil, and after not giving me gas for a month (no hot water, no working stove), I hope they go bankrupt. For those of you in Provo, never use Aspen Ridge Management. Ever. They even have a facebook page devoted to people who hate them, so I am not the only one who feels this way. /rant

ANYWAYS, we ended up at a laundry mat called The Wash Hut with cool, old school arcade machines.

Seth says they are rigged.
I say he might just be out of practice. Or maybe both.

Also, because I forgot, Amber and Sam Ames made me this cake the night before I got married. How freaking sweet/awesome/Chinese:

  1. All I can say is "that is a crazy lady" - name that movie! We're glad you liked your cake. I really can't take any credit. I just baked the cake and came up with the color scheme. Miss you!
